Donate to the Forestry Commission's education programs
As one of the most prominent champions for natural resource conservation in our state, the South Carolina Forestry Commission prides itself on the rich menu of forestry-centered environmental education it provides to students, teachers and the general public.
Put simply, our passion is teaching younger generations to understand and care for our forests.
Despite these programs occupying the lion’s share of our time and attention throughout the year, most people are surprised to learn that they receive no taxpayer funding to operate… no state appropriations, no public budget item of any kind. Every dollar spent toward the operation of these two programs is derived from donations and grants.
Please help us continue this important work by supporting Project Learning Tree and/or the Wood Magic Forest Fair with a monetary contribution. Your gift will help support youth forestry and environmental education in our state, introduce students to natural resource careers and create an environmentally literate public.
