Wood Magic Resources for volunteers
Info, videos and lesson plans

This information is intended for those who will be assisting with the WOOD MAGIC Forest Fair programs in South Carolina. You can find work schedules, directions, guide information, a contact list, objectives and lesson plans below. The information and schedules will be updated as needed.
Volunteers are expected to work from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. To conduct these programs we need approximately 28 volunteers each day to serve as guides, instructors, and helpers. Each volunteer is given a t-shirt, lunch, and the satisfaction that they have helped provide the youth of our state an important pro-forestry experience.
Please contact Beth Foley with the SC Forestry Commission, to volunteer to help with these programs. To sign up, please view the below work schedules to see what volunteer positions are still available (updated once weekly). Let her know what date, location, and station/position you would like to assist with. If you cannot help with your scheduled volunteer position or any of the information does not look correct, please contact Beth as soon as possible. This is very important in order to find a replacement in time for each event.
