Forest stewardship plans prepared by private consultants
Landowners with more than 50 forested acres on their parcel(s) and also where 50% or more of the parcel is located within Stewardship Priority Areas may choose to receive reimbursement when having their management plan developed by an approved consultant listed above.  If choosing a consulting forester, the forester must be listed within SC Forestry Commission’s list of consulting foresters.

Reimbursement only applies to priority parcels where 50% or more of the parcel is located in Stewardship Priority Areas.  Please visit our Forest Stewardship Program Parcel Qualification Analysis tool to check if your parcel qualifies as a priority parcel.

Forest stewardship plans prepared by SC Forestry Commission or SC DNR
Stewardship Management Plans prepared by SC Forestry Commission or SC DNR personnel will be completed at no cost to the landowner. However, plans will be written on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply, complete the forest stewardship application and include proof of ownership (tax receipt, parcel ID, etc.).  You will need to save/download the fillable pdf form to your computer, fill it out, save it, and then click the “Send” button to the appropriate regional Stewardship Forester for where your property is located.
